ROLE: Web Designer & Developer
TIMELINE: September 2025 - Present
CLIENT: Future Edge Developments (Agency Work)
SCOPE: Website Design, UX/UI, Development, Marketing Strategy
As part of my role at Future Edge Developments, I've designed and built websites for clients across automotive, landscaping, towing, communications, security, coaching, and photography — each tailored to their industry, audience, and business goals.
Every small business client comes with a different problem to solve. Some have no web presence at all. Others have outdated sites that don't convert. A few came specifically because they saw a competitor's new site driving results.
The challenge across this body of work has been consistent: translate each client's unique value proposition into a digital experience that builds trust, communicates services clearly, and drives action — whether that's a phone call, form submission, or booking.
Working across such varied industries (detailing, landscaping, towing, security, coaching, photography) required rapid context-switching and the ability to understand unfamiliar businesses quickly. Each site needed to feel native to its industry while maintaining the conversion-focused principles that drive results.

Conducted discovery with each client to understand their services, target audience, and competitive landscape
Identified industry-specific conversion patterns (e.g., towing = immediate phone calls; coaching = trust-building before inquiry)
Prioritized mobile-first design — most small business traffic comes from local mobile searches
Focused on clear service presentation, strong calls-to-action, and trust signals (reviews, credentials, photos)
Designed custom layouts tailored to each industry's user expectations and business model
Built sites optimized for speed, SEO, and lead generation
Wrote or refined copy to communicate value propositions clearly
Integrated booking systems, contact forms, and click-to-call functionality based on client needs
Delivered ongoing support and iteration based on performance data
A freelance photographer with 6+ years of experience needed a web presence that matched the quality of his work. The previous setup relied on word-of-mouth and social media alone — limiting reach and making booking friction-heavy.
i designed and built a site that leads with visual work (video backgrounds, portfolio galleries) while streamlining the path to booking. Service offerings are clearly structured across portraits, events, brand photography, and weddings — each with pricing transparency and direct calls-to-action. The result is a professional platform that builds trust quickly and converts visitors into inquiries.

OPC is a player-focused basketball development program founded by a former pro athlete. The challenge: communicate elite credibility while making it easy for parents and athletes to understand program options and book sessions.
The site balances aspirational brand positioning (testimonials from college and pro athletes, school logo trust bar) with clear, functional UX — program breakdowns, coach profiles, and integrated booking for 1:1 sessions, group training, and shooting workouts. The design reinforces the "get 1% better" ethos while removing friction from the decision-to-booking journey.
A growing landscaping company serving the Medfield area needed a site that could keep up with demand. Their previous online presence wasn't generating leads or reflecting the quality of their work.
I built a comprehensive site showcasing their full service range — from weekly maintenance and seasonal cleanups to hardscaping and lawn installations — with clear service pages, a prominent lead capture form, and strong local SEO positioning. Since launch, the company has nearly doubled its team and workload, attributing much of that growth to increased visibility and credibility online.

This body of work represents the core of what I do at Future Edge Developments: taking small businesses from invisible or outdated online presences to professional, conversion-focused websites that drive real results.
Revenue increases, expanded teams, competitor wins
The Thompson Property Maintenance story captures it well: a business that came to us specifically because they saw what a strong web presence did for their direct competitor(KM Property Care). That's the kind of impact good design creates.
